Obituary for Audrey Verna Warkentin (Hicks)

Audrey entered the presence of the Lord on May 3, 2017 at Evergreeen Extended Care in North Vancouver. Audrey was born July 24, 1928 in Codette, Saskatchewan.

Audrey is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Bertha Hicks; and her brother, Vernon Hicks.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband, Jack (Jacob) Warkentin of 54 years; her sons, John and Theo; grandchildren, Shannon, Jaclyn, Ruth Anne, Luke and Emily; and her brother, Doug of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Audrey received her registered nursing degree at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria in 1950 and was working at Vancouver General Hospital when she met Jack. They were married in Vancouver in June 1963.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer church in West Vancouver. Reception to follow in the Mallon room.
