Condolence From: Manuel R. Rocha
Condolence: My Family, along with myself were very saddened by the passing of our Dear friend, Father John J. Brioux on May 24, 2017. Our family were very close to our 'Padre' , as we liked to call him. He liked it when we referred him to Padre. I, Manuel, personally was his close friend and always helped him with all the repairs and yard work that were needed around the St.Paul's Indian Catholic Church in North Vancouver during all the years of Father John's tenure there. GOD BLESS HIM in Jesus Christ's name. Amen

Condolence: My heart broke when I learned that Fr. John passed away. I have known him for over twenty years and have great memories of time spent together. Fr. John celebrated my two weddings and was always open to chatting and learning new things. I introduced him to the devotion of the Holy Face of Manoppello and we had talked about going to Italy so he could venerate the Veil. He was someone I could never say "No" too. It was a joy to help him whenever he needed my assistance.
I will cherish all the times we spent together. And I know he is in Heaven, because he truly was a "Mama's (Mary) Boy". RIP Padre! I will have a toast of Speyside Scotch in your honour. Until we meet again!

Condolence: We were very blessed to have Fr John celebrate our wedding last July,2016 at St Agustines. He made a special effort to help us write our wedding misselette so that our guests, many of whom were non-Catholic, could follow the mass. Our wedding theme was a French one, "diner en blanc" where we requested everyone to come in white. Fr John was quite keen on the idea and wore a white outfit from head to toe! He was always open to fun ideas tharsfor sure.

When we went St Paul's, in North Van,Fr John made it a point to welcome us at the beginning of his Mass. Very cool indeed because no priest has ever made us feel so important.

Thank you Fr John for all you did for us. We will miss you so much but we know you are up in Heaven watching down on us. Alléluia!

Love Mylene and Brad Brioux
