Obituary for Elizabeth Ann ""Betty"" McDonald

McDonald, Elizabeth Ann (nee Reilly)

Born November 6th, 1938 our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. Betty passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Betty was pre-deceased by her father John (Jack), mother Margaret and brother James. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and is survived by her husband of 58 years Bruce, children Heather (Hal), Dan (Stephanie) and Cal (Lianne). Betty is also survived by her two sisters, Donna and Jolene and six grandchildren Max, Morgan, Jett, Ben, Wyatt & Joshua. She was so proud of all her children and grandchildren, she loved them dearly and they always brought her great joy. Betty was always very active in her church, serving as Worship Leader for nearly 35 years. Her faith in Jesus her Savior carried her throughout her life and into her last trial with cancer. Betty passed on with full faith in her Lord for eternity. Our grief for Betty is profound and words cannot adequately describe our loss nor the love we feel for her. But, we face it with the knowledge that her struggle is over and she is at peace with her Lord.

Our many thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at the Royal Columbian Hospital and also the staff and volunteers at Crossroads Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, the BC Cancer Foundation or Crossroads Inlet Centre Hospice.
