The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Reid can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Gary Sarff
Condolence: James and I chatted online every single night for 6 years or more, about classical music and albums and audio. He taught me a lot and would play albums over the internet that he had recorded and ones he had bought too. It was so nice. He stopped last year and would send me an email at night saying he would or would not be online, then the emails got less frequent and then they stopped. I tried to email him a number of times and got no answers. It was just today that my mother said try looking in the obituaries for him, and I found out about his passing on November 14th of last year. My best wishes to his family, I am sorry for your loss. I am also saddened, James was a very nice person and had a witty sense of dry humor. We traded gifts at birthdays and Christmas time. I still cannot think that I will never chat with him again or hear his music.
James had an encyclopedic knowledge of music and we had fun in our chats.
Thank you James for sharing your knowledge and time with me.
